Our Story
A Family Kitchen on C Street
Tucked into a century-old brick storefront in the heart of downtown Floresville, Jalisco Taqueria has become the table locals return to again and again. The name pays tribute to the Mexican state of Jalisco — the birthplace of so many of the recipes that fill our menu — and every plate that leaves our kitchen is made the way family taught us: slow-cooked guisados, hand-pressed masa, and salsas made fresh throughout the day.
Guests tell us it's the little things that keep them coming back: fajitas sizzling straight off the comal, rice and beans that taste homemade because they are, and a dining room that feels like Sunday dinner even on a Tuesday. One regular put it best — "Great Mexican food, and a great place to bring the whole family. Everything is delicious." We've been told our Carne Guisada is the best in town, and we intend to keep it that way.
From the first breakfast plate at 7am to the last order of mini tacos before close, our doors are open seven days a week. Whether you're stopping in after the Peanut Festival crowds or grabbing a quick lunch special downtown, we're glad to have you at our table.
